The village is set around a traditional square with Ottoman style stone houses.  There are a selection of local shops, restaurants and tea gardens.  Uzumlu market is held on a Friday and you are able to purchase a selection of fresh local produce as well as household items, clothes and shoes etc.  In the mountains above the village of Uzumlu Fethiye archaeologists discovered the remains of an ancient Roman settlement – Lycian Cadianda (Kadyanda), it’s ruins date back to the 5th century BC. There are 4 Lycian rock tombs near the entrance, with 3 of them being created in the 4^th Century BC.

Cadianda and Uzumlu Turkey are great places to discover masterpieces of Turkish winemaking, “dastar” weaving and a history that goes back centuries.The village is reached easily by car and there is also a good local bus service.   Fethiye is approximately 20 minutes’ drive away.
