Uzumlu (translates from the Turkish word as ‘grape’) also known as Yesiluzumlu (green grape) it is located approximately 16 km from Fethiye.  As its name suggest, excellent local wine is produced in the village. The village has a winehouse, where you will be able to sample some of the local produce.  It is truly beautiful location with its green meadows, picturesque mountains and dense pine forests.  In April each month the village hosts it’s folk and mushroom festival.

The village is set around a traditional square with Ottoman style stone houses.  There are a selection of local shops, restaurants and tea gardens.  Uzumlu market is held on a Friday and you are able to purchase a selection of fresh local produce as well as household items, clothes and shoes etc.  The village is reached easily by car and there is also a good local bus service.  Fethiye is approximately 20 minutes’ drive away.
